Using Sunburst Vectors Tutorial

1. Download the sunburst brushes and make sure they're ready to use. Go to deviantart.com > Categories > Resources > Application Resources > (and pick your program). Now in the SMALLER search bar there (not the main one, but the one used to search within the category), type in "sunburst" or "sun burst." You should find some sun burst vectors! If not, google them, or try www.photobucket.com.

2. Open up a blank new image. I made mine 400x625.

3. Create a new layer... by going to the layers palette and pressing the button below:

4. Use the brush tool, and place it on the new layer. Mine looks like below (this is not the actual size):

5. Now press the F button, and go to stroke.

6. Go to pattern overlay, select a pattern... or go to color overlay, select a color... or gradient.. doesn't matter. I also added a drop shadow. Press ok. Mine looks like this (click to view full size):

7. Now on the layers palette, go to the 'Background' layer.

8. Press control J. This duplicates the layer.

9. Press the F button again... and go to pattern overlay (or color/gradient overlay again). Fill out the settings so you like them.

10. Press okay. You're done! Mine looks like this (click for a larger size):
